Charles L. Johnson "Charlie"
President
Born in the small
town of Osceola Arkansas, Charlie moved to Dallas at age 20 from Pioneer Louisiana.
His first job was at a local window company. Some years later he created his
first business: Central Inspection Agency. Traveling to various power plants,
he inspected electrical turbines in cities across the state of Texas. A car
lover his entire life, Charlie enjoyed working on cars, racing and Corvettes.
In 1986 a friend, with years of experience in the car business asked Charlie to
financially back a buy-here pay-here car dealership. A partnership was formed
between Leon Morris Sr. and Charlie Johnson and that began what is now known as
L&C Auto Sales. In 1991, Mr. Morris decided to pursue other business ventures.
From that day forward, Charlie and his wife Cindy took over full time
operations of L&C Auto Sales. Today, Charlie is what we like to call “semi”
retired, working part time and helping with the day to day functions of the car
business. Charlie has two children,
Debbie and Kevin. A longtime resident of Cedar Hill, he lives with his wife
Cindy and they have been happily married for 62 years.
